The brief: Pharmaceutical and Medical Filming
Filming two medical professors individually talking about cardio vascular events. The ambience must be casual but informative and trusting. The viewer will be possible patients interested in taking part in trials. The access to the medical videos must be user friendly and intuitive in answering patients questions. A healthcare website would be developed for this purpose.
Voice – overs would be required for a demo video on ‘how to use’ the injection pen for those taking part in trials which must be informative and reassuring to the patient.
The Solution: Medical Video Production
A lighting cameraman, sound man and director filmed the two medical professors individually talking directly to camera (with Autocue) about cardio vascular events combined with video footage of the men interacting together in a relaxed manner. Filmed in the library of a famous teaching college with two opposing Chesterfield sofas, the set was dressed and lit. It was edited into sections led by questions. The video was produced with on-screen questions at the start of each section and lower third titles with animated logos.
A voice-over for the demonstration video was recorded in a London sound studio with a well known voice of Radio Four (now retired) and synced to images to give a very reassuring ‘step by step’ instruction to be viewed online by patients in the comfort of their own home.
Summary:
The website was created by our partners Vatico with our video content creating an easily navigated solution to any questions asked by a patient who might be considering taking part in the trial. The website is a mix of video content and short text, informative, concise and user friendly.
