Cocktail cabaret: Online marketing video to help you to make your favourite cocktails at leisure in your own home or just enjoy the fun.

The Brief: Brand Marketing Videos for the Leisure Industry

The client required six ‘How to Make’ cocktail marketing videos to accompany their six most requested cocktails. They wanted to encourage their customers who having tried a cocktail at the bar, to mix the same one at home. This had to include brand advertising for their chain within exciting advert style videos whilst including a warm and hospitable welcome from their staff. Most of all the online marketing videos  must be engaging from the point of the viewer with easy to follow instructions.

The Solution: Online Marketing Video

We would film inside one of their bars over a two day period using their own in house cocktail barmen to produce the cocktails. Utilising a jib and the slow motion facility of the camera with some ingenious  invented ‘toys’ to get the ”through the bottom of the glass” shots and rotating final cocktail.

The brand would be reinforced with the staff wearing barnded work clothes and on screen graphics included to populate the leisure and hospitality videos.

Each cocktail marketing video would have a different style with a nod to a famous film. On screen graphics detailing each ingredient with a roll call at the end of the demonstration to remind the online viewer. The finished videos would be cut to suitable music to enhance each video rather than as background.

The Summary:

We filmed all the cocktails videos in one day with additional film footage of customers enjoying the ambience at other Be@One bars in the evening – this was edited into a short branding video to accompany the six cocktails. Slow motion filming and mirrors were used to look inside the glass. The short ‘how to’ films were placed on their website and a marketing campaign built around the video content online.
